This is a matching numbers model 1866 Chassepot sword bayonet & scabbard.
Both bayonet and scabbard are stamped with the same matching serial number 9712, blade spine is inscribed “Chat 1871” which is the Chatellerault arsenal and date 1871.
Overall length 28” (71cm)
All in very good clean condition.
A very good example of a French M1882 Light Cavalry Troopers Sword, dated 1884 with matching serial number scabbard.
The sword is in lovely condition with all its wire binding and leather covered grip totally intact and undamaged, 34 ¼ inch polished steel blade is straight and clean with no damage or staining.
Contained in its steel scabbard with single hanging ring.
1856 Pattern Drummer’s Sword to the Middlesex Regiment
An1856 pattern MKI drummers sword regimentally stamped to the Middlesex Regiment and dated 1899.
The sword has a 18 ½ inch, double edged spear point blade edge of forte with broad arrow stamp.
Cast brass, one piece crossguard with central VR. Ribbed grip with bulbous pommel. Side of grip stamped “1.MX. D11. 1899”.
A Bavarian Model 1892 artillery sidearm with ribbed brass lion-head hilt and crossguard with regimental markings 'L.M.1. 3.33'. 47cm single fuller blade with crown over 'O' (for King Otto of Bavaria) and '08' for the year 1908.
Complete with brass mounted black leather scabbard with matching regiment stampings L.M.1. 3.33.
A 19th century Sword Stick by Mole of Birmingham with a 29 ½ inch (75 cm) square tapering blade stamped with maker's name 'MOLE BIRMN', briar wood haft and curved handle with brass collar and ferrule.
36 inches (91.5cm) overall length.
