This is a matching numbers model 1866 Chassepot sword bayonet & scabbard.
Both bayonet and scabbard are stamped with the same matching serial number 9712, blade spine is inscribed “Chat 1871” which is the Chatellerault arsenal and date 1871.
Overall length 28” (71cm)
All in very good clean condition.
19th Century French Infantry Briquet
An early 19th century French Infantry Briquet with a 60cm curved blade and heavy ribbed brass hilt. Stamped with numerous inspection marks.
Complete with is original brass mounted black leather scabbard.
1856 Pattern Drummer’s Sword to the Middlesex Regiment
An1856 pattern MKI drummers sword regimentally stamped to the Middlesex Regiment and dated 1899.
The sword has a 18 ½ inch, double edged spear point blade edge of forte with broad arrow stamp.
Cast brass, one piece crossguard with central VR. Ribbed grip with bulbous pommel. Side of grip stamped “1.MX. D11. 1899”.
A Bavarian Model 1892 artillery sidearm with ribbed brass lion-head hilt and crossguard with regimental markings 'L.M.1. 3.33'. 47cm single fuller blade with crown over 'O' (for King Otto of Bavaria) and '08' for the year 1908.
Complete with brass mounted black leather scabbard with matching regiment stampings L.M.1. 3.33.
Colt No.2 Derringer
A Colt 2nd model .41 rim-fire Derringer pistol circa 1870 with 2 ½ inch swing opening barrel, chequered birds head walnut grips and sheath trigger. Tops of barrel with maker details of 'COLT'S PT FA MFG CO HARTFORD CT USA', underside of the barrel is stamped with the serial number '4051 and London proof marks.
